If you get a validation error when creating a new event, the save button vanishes

if you happen to produce a validation error when creating a new event
(i.e. start date after end date), then the validation error is shown, but no save buttons.
Even if you fix the validation error there is no way to save the updated input; you have to close the "create event" dialog (and all your input) and try gain.
