      Description

      A default edit mode for a document should be saved in a document field. This would force the behavior of an XWiki document.

          As I see it, content-type should be sent to the client (text/plain, text/html, application/rss+xml), and edit mode should be used when clicking on the Edit field (right now there's an autodetect mechanism, based on user preferences and document content).

          I'm -1 for adding these 2 as hard-coded document properties, they could be added as untyped document properties once we have support for them.

          After further discussions, we agreed to implement this feature in an object attached to the document, which would force the edit mode of the document when present.
