Issue with new line endings when adding a comment

On xwiki.org a user added 2 comments and this resulted in the diff shown in attached diff1.png.

There are several problems:

• The user has just added one comment at a time and all the other comments (xobjects) seem to have been modified in the diff since they all show a different line ending.
• Then I added 2 more comments (on Mac) and when going to the same history URL before the new line endings disappeared! FTR the URL was http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/Support?viewer=changes&rev1=30.1&rev2=30.4 See attached diff2.png

Note: We can possibly assume that the user was on Windows.
