Use webdav to show the album-pictures

I'm not so sure about the whole webdav stuff, but as far as I understand, you planning to integrate a webdav API. Webdav enables the user to browse through a hooked-up storage location (filesystem ie.) in a FTP-way, right? Would it be possible to use the same procedure and actually, instead of showing the somewhat ugly folder-listing, showing the photo inside the photo-album application?

The benefit would be that users can use the photos in a multiple way, easy upload (it's just folder(s)), easy and lighter backup (content is probably more dynamic than photo), no DB misuse (photos aren't indexable anyway), more ressource friendly and faster.

Feel free to edit this idea and correct me if I misunderstood things...
