Description
Fresh install if the Windows XE2.0 install bits
Utilizing IE7 with XE 2.0 is painfully slow. Page load times are 5-6x what they are for firefox.
Looking at a packet trace with WireShark I see that when viewing the Sandbox space two requests are made to the server:
GET /xwiki/bin/view/Sandbox/
POST /xwiki/bin/view/Sandbox/?xpage=xpart&vm=commentsinline.vm
For Firefox the POST occurs less than 80ms after the GET request sends the last data byte.
For IE, the POST request does not occur until about 2.6 seconds after the GET request sends the last data byte. The page is then displayed after this delay.
Something in the html or js is causing IE to go out to lunch for several seconds.
