WYSIWYG editor misbehaves when entering . (period) at the end of <ul> line

Problem can be reproduced in Chrome 16 and Safari 5.1.2 on OSX, problem does not reproduce in FF 9.1

Reproducing the problem:

• create empty document in WYSIWYG editor
• create a bulleted list with couple of items
• try entering . (period) as the last character of non-last item - instead of period appearing two bulleted items are merged (Chrome, Safari)
• try entering . (period) as the last character of last item (must be also end-of-document) - nothing appears (Chrome)
