Migration from an older version will cause many merge conflicts with the Distribution Manager

    Description

      I tested a migration using mySQL from 3.3.1 to 4.2 RC-1.

      The database migrated successfully.

      steps:

      • setup 3.3.1
      • start it, import the XAR using the Import page
      • stop 3.3.1
      • start 4.2-RC1
      • the distribution wizard will kick in.

      The problem is that I get TONS of merge conflicts. More than 15 minutes of clicking the "Continue" button.

      Using a vanilla clean version (without migration) does not trigger that much conflicts.

      I think that every page from the old instance is generating a conflict when upgrading to the new version.

      everything from the old XAR seems to be conflicting
