You mean if you don't save them before clicking on "Add" ?

Either:

we remove the "Add member" from the edit page
we warn that modifications have been made and will be lost
we save first and then add

no, it just does not work in internet explorer like it does in firefox.

Moving this task to later as it is in the default wiki and not in the core code. We will provide a new user and group management application which should fix these issues.

Works for me. And it did work for a long time. I'll put B2 as the fix version, since I can't spot the exact moment when it was fixed.
