Automatic page indexing deactivation

Currently with v1.0.1 I often get errors related to the backround indexing, with a message like "Connection page indexer error". I'm not sure about the origin of the error, but in any case I would find it very handy to have the possibility to deactivate the background indexing since I personally don't need it (and it may represent quite a bit of overhead, doesn't it?)
