The URL returned by getDefaultEditURL leads to an empty page

Hello

$doc.getDefaultEditURL()

and

$doc.getEditURL("edit","inline")

always return

?xpage=wysiwyg

and

?xpage=inline

As I understand from here:

xpage is a view parameter ... but from the method title, this should be something related to EDIT 

Maybe I got something wrong ...
