Separators of static lists replaced with white spaces on the edit display

When trying to edit an object having a static list field with multi-select, the separators are replaced with a white space on the edit display. This is an issue when white spaces are not considered as a separator for our list. It happens for example with the XPoll extension, while trying to edit the proposals.
