Session timeout causes loss of any editing

When working for along time, editing the contents of a page, the session may time out. When clicking any of the Save-buttons, you are redirected to the login page, but all your hard work is lost.

With the default session timeout that's in place, this is absolutely horrendous. I'm surprised I cannot find this reported before, am I the only one seeing this?
