The javascript for the "Display annotation by default" feature gets cached too eagerly

If you've already rendered a page with annotations but without the "display annotation by default" enabled then the JS gets cached so if you change the setting afterwards you'll get the cached JS and you won't see the annotations. Clearing your cache makes it work.

We need to do something similar like we do for search suggest config where we use a hash function at the end of the js.
