The Go to dialog is limited to pages and, with the rather new search suggestions, it has become more or less redundant. Its only advantage right now is that it is bound to a button and the Search input must be accessed with the mouse.
The search suggestion is extendible and has already been extended with Workspaces, thus, making the same thing for the Go To dialog is, on one side, time consuming and technically problematic (not really built to be extended) and on the other side pointless.
