Description
How to reproduce:
- create 2 subwikis on a wikis farm
- install the blog application on both
- using a global user, go to user profile, in the Notifications section
- in the "Applications" section, where the events are displayed, unpack the "Blog" category
Actual result:
- the Blog post published event will be displayed twice (tests show that the number of displays corresponds to the number of subwikis that are initialized and that has the blog application installed):
- the names of the events don't allow to distinguish to which wiki an event applies
- *clicking on the "On" and "Off" switches for the various channels for one of the events has a strange behaviour (visible after refresh): it applies to more than the event for which the button was clicked but not always to all of the events * -> this item is more visible with more subwikis (I tested wtith 8):
Expected result:
- it's not really clear what is the expected result, whether it should be a single event for the whole farm or one event for each installed subwiki, I guess it depends on the initial intention of the blog application.
I would say it needs to behave consistently with the other events and since, for the System events, it cannot be configured individually on each wiki at this level (and filters are to be used for filtering a wiki out or in) , we should do the same for the blog.
In any case
Reproduces with blog 9.10.8 on XWiki 12.10.5.
Note: this behaviour also reproduces on the main wiki in the notifications configuration section, the event is displayed multiple times.
On a subwiki with the Blog application installed the event is displayed only once, but clicking on the switches to activate / deactivate it has no effect on the list of events displayed on the main wiki.
