XWiki starts slow because of the large number of files extracted from entities.xml after aborted migration

The migration produces a huge number of files. Removing them takes a lot of times, and makes XWiki start really slow when it removes the temporary working directory. Since no message is shown at this step, the XWiki start makes it feel like it is stuck.
