Allow for users to create their own configurations

Currently, the configuration is hard-coded and does not let users introduce their own configurations.

Steps:

1. have default configurations
2. allow default configurations to be removed
3. introduce a creation form to introduce new configurations
4. (optional) allow for configurations to be tested before save
5. (optional) introduce checks to see if the backend is correctly configured
