No authentication control when using Nextcloud/basic

Reproduction steps

1. select a configuration with "authenticationManager": "Nextcloud/basic",
2. click on logging and type wrong credentials (wrong password or wrong user)

Expected

The user receives a message warning that the credentials are wrong

Actual

No error message is returned, the UI is simply empty (no content, no document tree).
