Ending a list in the editor unexpected interactions

How to reproduce
After creating a list with nested levels.
Press delete to end the list. There is still some indentation left, this is unexpected.
In order to remove the indentation, press shift+tab
This unindents the previous list unexpectedly.

Note that ending the list with unindents works as expected.
