videos don't play on iPad

The current media-player bundle displays videos as flash.
This works well on widespread windows and macosx but fails on iPad and Mozilla on Android.

For these, and probably others, the video element of html 5 should be used instead as long as the browser is modern enough.

An attempt has been made here: http://www.curriki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Test/VideoElement and this attempt shows that the current mp4-compressed files are inappropriate for Safari on iPad whereas the h264-compressed versions work.
