Several of the issues we have had might be related to the fact that the DocChangeListener is based on the old notification scheme and that it takes time.
The DocChangeListener should replaced by a DocChangeListener2 which should use the Observation API and run all of its analysis in the background, only taking the time in the save process to store the full-name and version of the document that is saved.
