Description
As requested, here is a new email thread with the request to change the destination of the REGISTER link.
I’d like to point the REGISTER link at the top of the wordpress part of our site to: http://www.gpsnetwork.org/xwiki/bin/view/Registration/DirectRegistration
1. I will assume you want the change globally, on all WordPress and XWiki pages. Correct? DN: I actually only meant for the change to happen on the wordpress pages, since that is the only page where you see both a “register” link and a “sign in” link. I’m okay with leaving the xwiki pages as is.
2. What to do if the user selects registration by mistakes and wants to login. They can (1) Select Cancel and then select the correct link or (2) new feature, we can add a link at the bottom of the reg form that says, "Already a member? Go to Login." DN: What’s the effort required to add a link to the bottom of the reg form to go to login? If less than an hour, I’d say we should do it.
3. The reg link you sent me has xpage=popup in the URL. Does this mean you want to remove the background and only show the registration form? DN: It doesn’t need to be a pop up- just whatever is easy and available. The only registration page I’m aware of is the pop up page, which is why I sent you that URL. I’m open to other options if they’re just as easy. Whatever makes the most sense, but my intention is:
1. if they click on the register button from any one of the wordpress pages and then cancel, they should end up on the same wordpress page.
2. If they complete registration, I would think they’d get the verification page, and if they hit cancel, they end up on the same wordpress page.
3. If they complete the verification, then they end up on their profile page
