PointClass: usage of doubles for latitude and longitude

The PointClass geographical properties latitude and longitude are currently strings. This issue is about considering the usage of doubles instead, because it will ease performing mathematical operations directly on these properties without the need to convert them, such as geographical projections, distance calculation etc.
