Consecutive definition terms are split when rendering to CommonMark Markdown 1.2

Parse the following markdown/1.2 content and render it back to markdown/1.2:

Expected: the same content.
Actual: it's rendered as

* a

  t
  :   d

so the first term becomes a paragraph when read back.
