Save error issue

When collaborating in real-time on a relatively small document (40 lines) with another user over a broadband connection, the save error dialog box "We were unable to save your document. Try again shortly." shows up approximately every 10 seconds or so for one of the users. Is there anything we can do to trace the origin of the error?
