"Failed to get remote extension from repository" NPE warning after starting an XWiki instance

    Description

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Start an XWiki instance (the issue reproduces on older XWiki versions as well)
      2. Access the instance in browser
      3. Observe the logs

      Expected results

      No warnings are logged.

      Actual results

      The following NPE warning is displayed:

      At first I thought it was infra related, for extensions.xwiki.org not being in a great shape, but it keeps occurring for some time.
