Old documents with dot in space name are unreachable

Hi
We have old documents that contain dot in their space name (like Space.Name.DocName). They were ok, could be found through search and reachable like normal documents.
We don't know exactly when the issue occured, but now they can be found (they exist in the database) but links are displayed with "?" and lead to the "New Page" page.
We tried to create new docs with dot and they work fine. Nonethless, there is a difference in the database : new docs have a backslashed dot in their space name.
We don't know how to get those old docs back.

Do you provide some kind of script correcting this issue ?
