Add support for creating pages from templates (as set in Administration > Content > Templates)

Hello,
this is RFE for enhancing XEclipse UI to support creation of new pages from XWiki server provided templates, or more precisely template provides as they are set in Administration > Content > Templates.
I need that feature myself, I'm even able to hack on it and submit it for inclusion if some expert gives me an advice where to start and how to proceed in a course-grain description.
