Automatically publish an article at a defined date

Feature description:

• Create a blog article
• Set a publication date & tick publish
• Click on "Save & View"

-> the article automatically gets published at the predefined date in the future

I tried to publish my new year article:

1/ Set publish date to 01/01/2009 00:00:01
2/ Set not published

Now I realize that I should have checked "publish" but this is not clear. Maybe the fields should be exclusive of each other.
