Expose the search UI on a dedicated URL path and save the search query in the URL

The search UI is currently shown using a modal. The problem with this is that the user cannot bookmark the search query (i.e. share a link with the search results). Would be nice if the search UI were exposed using a dedicated Cristal URL path so that we can save the search query in the URL and load it from there.
