XWiki Enterprise stalls during install on 64 bits architectures

I installed the 4.4 release from gforge today.

. xwiki-enterprise-installer-windows-4.4.exe

The install seemed to proceed fine until the 'installing' phase ended. I was delivered a blank panel on the wizard. When I press [NEXT] nothing happens.

Eventually I pressed [Quit] and the installation was reported as "aborted" or "failed". If the install was finished, then it should have a finish button, I feel.

Also there were two or three more steps indicated on the wizard side-bar (see screen shot), and the impression is definitely that installation is NOT complete. For instance no short-cut was created or entry int he start list, etc.
