Being able to sort attachments

A client of mine has potentially many attachments on a page and would like to be able to sort them according to various criteria: name, date of upload, etc. Also, he would love to be able to insert an attachment at a specific spot, for instance between two existing attachments.

I think at least the sorting request could be interesting for many users.
