Abnormal behavior when opening DW's flavor links on Internet Explorer

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Delete the 'data' folder of an XWiki instance (e.g. XWiki 9.10.1)
2. Start the instance with Internet Explorer
3. On Distribution Wizard click 'Continue'
4. Fill in an Admin account
5. Click 'Register and login'
6. Click 'Continue'
7. On 'Step 2 - Flavor' click on the link of a flavor (e.g. 'XWiki Standard Flavor' or 'Demo Flavor')

EXPECTED RESULTS

The link to the respective flavor's page opens in a new window.

ACTUAL RESULTS

When clicked on the link, new windows to the flavor's page keep opening uncontrollable.

The issue is reproducing only on Internet Explorer (tested on IE 11).
