Random async exception with panels MyRecentModifications

Steps to reproduce:

• Start a fresh install
• Login as admin
• Use shortcut to become an advanced user (x+x+x+a)

Expected result:
You become an advanced user and the display remains

Actual result:
You become an advanced user but the "Recent changes" panels do not display anymore (got the loading wheel) + stacktrace in the console

NB: the error occurs even after creating a page and already showing the recent changes panel. See the attached gif.
