Maven builds generating classifier artifacts cause issues in SNAPSHOT timestamp resolutions

This is because the remote repository metadata file doesn't differentiate between classifiers and thus each classifier artifact overwrites the last timestamp value leading to build which cannot find some SNAPSHOT artifacts.
