Add support (configuration) for hiding the selection column

The selection column (in table layout) is currently always visible. We have examples of live tables (which we want to replace with live data) where entry selection doesn't make sense (FTM). Take for instance the logging live table from the wiki administration. We need to hide the selection column for the logging live table until we implement batch actions (e.g. set the log level for a batch of selected loggers).
