Adding an annotation including the section edit button fails

When creating an annotation if you include the section edit button in your selection, the annotation won't be found and will not show up.

For example when adding an annotation on the List title + the sentence under it, the following text for the selection is added:

And the annotation is not found when you reload or even right after creating it.
