      Description

How to reproduce (requires 2 or 3 different users):

      • on a page of a wiki, use notifications macro with the useUserPreferences on "false", and with events restricted to the current wiki
        • the notifications macro used on the Dashboard of the standard distribution is such a usage
        • such a usage will display all the events of the scope for which it's used (the current wiki, on the Dashboard, for example), not contextualized to the preferences of the current user viewing the page
      • with one of the users (kbernick in my example below), create a page
      • in the content of this page, mention another user (Dina Dorf in my example below)
      • login with yet another user (Admin in my example below) and access the page that displays the event stream using the notifications macro (the Dashboard, for example)

      Expected result:

      • the mention is displayed in the event stream informing correctly that user kbernick mentioned user Dina Dorf in a page

      Actual result:

      • the mention is displayed in the event stream as if the current user (Admin) was mentioned. The message is "You have received one mention", which is the same with the message displayed in the notifications of the mentioned user

      See screenshot:

      Side-effect:
User kbernick, who is the mentioner, sees the same message "You have received one mention" which is rather misleading (to say the least). I don't think the message needs to be contextualized to who sees it (displayed differently for the mentioned or mentioner user), it should just be neutral enough.
