    Description

When working in lists or tables with WYSIWYG Editor in in-place-mode sometimes when deleting text with backspace or the delte-key, it inserts/duplicates some text that is standing before the cursor instead of deleting the character before/after the cursor. Each time pressing backspace/delete inserts another block of the text. The only way “out” is pressing Strg+Z (undo) which removes all additional text blocks at once (not just the last one!) and after that everything behaves normally again for a time.

This Bug is occurring rarely and sadly I have not found a pattern how to reproduce it yet.
I have only witnessed it when editing inside of lists and tables yet.

The Bug happens on Safari for iPad and Windows Edge (chromium based). We only use the WYSIWYG in place editing, so I can’t tell if it is happening in standalone WYSIWYG too. The Issue occured with standard flavor and no additional extensions. Our organisation browsers has NO browser-extensions.

I was not able to reproduce the issue on an official CKE4 demo.
