Saving from Inplace Edit mode, after switching to Source, breaks the content

Follow these steps to reproduce:

• edit a plain wiki page inplace
• insert a macro, say info box
• switch to Source
• click save without making any changes
• edit again and check the source code -> there is some unexpected content

The same problem can be reproduced by saving twice from Source mode (without any change in between them).
