Annotations on words that are modified are not visible in Chrome and Edge anymore

Steps to reproduce

1. Go to a page with text content (e.g. Sandbox)
2. Select a word
3. Press CTRL+M, add some annotation text
4. Click 'Add annotation'
5. Edit the page and modify the annotated word (add/remove some letters)
6. Save the page
7. Enable annotations display and observe the (modified) word

Expected results

The annotated and then modified word is highlighted in an orange color, as implemented in XWIKI-24339.

Actual results

The modified word is not highlighted at all on Chrome and Edge, but it is on Firefox.

The highlight is displayed only after the change is validated.

The issue could not be reproduced on XWiki 18.3.0 and XWiki 17.10.9.
