    Description

      The regression is caused by XWIKI-16244.

      Reproduction steps

      The reproduction steps are flaky since it is a race condition issue, but the problem surfaces in the form of flickering test (e.g., XWIKI-18257).

      The notification query must overlap with storage of an event corresponding to the query.

      Expected

      Even are returned soon after they are saved.

      Actual

      Under the race condition, an event can stay unavailable for 24h (lifespan of the cache), unless the cache is cleared by receiving another event.
