Description
Quick Actions lists two entries for the mention macro: the dedicated "Mention" entry, which inserts an "@", suggests the users matching what is typed and inserts the mention without a dialog, and the generic "User Mention" entry of the macro, which opens the Edit Macro dialog. Two entries with two behaviors for the same macro are confusing, and the generic one is the harder to use.
The macro to change: MentionsMacro.xml.
The fix is to remove the generic Quick Action of the mention macro and keep the dedicated one, as XWIKI-23787 does for the displayIcon macro, for example with the opt-out of XWIKI-21063. The macro stays available from the Insert Macro dialog for its advanced parameters.
