    Description

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Edit a page in Wiki mode (e.g. Sandbox)
      2. Select a text or a word/phrase
      3. From the toolbar, click 'Bold' or 'H1'
      4. Click on another editable place (another line above/below)
      5. Observe the cursor (type something, e.g. the letter "o")

      Expected results

The respective formatting is applied for the selected text. When clicking on another editable place (e.g. another line), the cursor is displayed and the input (e.g. letter "o") is being typed.

      Actual results

The formatting is applied, but the cursor is not displayed on the next click, the entire clicked line appears as selected.

At this point, the typed letters are interpreted as shortcuts (e.g. typing the letter "o" leads to opening the Object edit mode).

To make the cursor appear again and type as expected, the users must left click several times, see Wiki_Cursor_18_4_7.mp4

However, the issue did not reproduce the same: from my tests, on XWiki 18.2.1 when it started, the cursor was being displayed after format applying, but nevertheless, the typed keys were still interpreted as shortcuts afterwards. This reproduces also on XWiki 18.4.4, see Wiki_Cursor_18_2_1_and_18_4_4.mp4

Starting XWiki 18.4.5, the cursor stopped appear altogether after a format is being applied.
