Displaying annotations messes up German Umlaute in page content

    Description

      When displaying annotations on a page all Umlaute (Ä, Ö, Ü, ä, ö, ü) and prolly a couple more chars are displayed improperly. The following char will be removed and instead I get a little square. See the picture.

      It works fine if I don't display annotations, though.
