Style override in skin does not work

I'm editing the skin from a wiki which is used as a skin template for other wikis (within a farm).
I've overridden some velocity templates and they work fine, but when I override the Style propery of the skin, it is not taken into account. The platform renders the style.css from the filesystem instead (default skin is colibri).

It seems like a regression bug with getSkinFile.
