When you use a wiki-sensitive character, the wysiwyg editor does not correct the syntax to one that is visible (manual correction does not work either)

For example, create a table and use a '$' sign - this is fairly common in my company as we are a US-based organisation. When you do this, the Wysiwyg editor does not render correctly (see attached examples)
