XWiki Explorer doesn't display the children of pages with periods or parens in their names

The tree view doesn't display children of pages with periods or parens in their names.

For example, a page named 'Parent.Page' or 'Parent(Page)' with children 'ChildPage1' 'ChildPage2' etc. The parent page will show up in the tree view, but clicking the plus sign will not display the children. Renaming the parent to 'ParentPage' will cause the tree view to function as expected.
