Restore ability to filter dates manually in LiveTables

We've recently improved livetables by adding some nice date picker.

However it has one drawback. You cannot filter dates easily and quickly anymore for simpler filters. For example, take this livetable: http://massol.myxwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Activities/Data/

I used to be able to simply type "2016" in the date column to see all activities in 2016. Now I can't do that easily, I need to select "custom date" in the picker and configure the start and end dates, which is very slow and cumbersome.
