Endless spinning wheel when log out from a page with Notifications Macro

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Login as Admin
2. Go to Notifications Settings and set Pages toggles to ON (make sure the wiki is watched)
3. Create an user (e.g. U1)
4. Login as the user
5. Create/update/comment a page (to generate some notification events)
6. Login as Admin
7. Edit/create a page using CKEditor
8. From XWiki Macro, insert 'Notifications Macro'
9. Click 'Save & View'
10. Logout

EXPECTED RESULTS

When logging out from the page containing the Notifications Macro, a message is displayed informing that no notifications are available (for guest user). The RSS Feed link is not displayed.

ACTUAL RESULTS

Instead of the (info) message there is an endless spinning wheel along with the RSS Feed link which leads to the following error:

HTTP Error 401: Problem accessing /xwiki/rest/notifications/rss. Reason: Unauthorized

The issue could not be reproduced on XWiki 11.3.1, XWiki 10.11.8 and respectively, XWiki 11.5.
